Sportsmanship, Leadership, and Character are the main focus of Hortonville Football Club. All coaches, parents, fans, and players must consistently act as role models for those around them. There is no place for bad examples within our program. Our players character development is simply too important.
By registering for HFC or attending any of our events, all agree to be positive influences to all around them: whether at our events or in public.
Booing, taunting, arguing, swearing, being disrespectful, threatening, questioning or showing up officials, or otherwise tarnishing one’s own or Hortonville Football Club’s reputation through negative words or actions will result in removal from HFC activities and may result in individual or family suspension or expulsion from our program.
We will strive to build each other up in all our words and actions!
Hortonville Football Club (HFC) is a non-profit organization that offers an instructional football program for youth in grades 6th through 8th. HFC is dedicated to teaching the youth of our community the fundamentals and proper techniques of tackle football. HFC is committed to teaching the skills and strategies of the game in accordance with USA Football’s Heads Up Program. Heads Up Tackling and Blocking has been continually proven to make the game Safer and Better for all participants and is endorsed nationally by all levels of football.
Our emphasis is on developing teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership skills, and physical fitness in a positive and safe environment. We strive to provide opportunities for all participants to develop individual skills and abilities while being a contributing member of a team. It is important to HFC that we provide a way for our athletes to build lasting friendships, great memories, and have fun!
Please join us at Sidelines (old Route 15) for our next board meeting at 8:00 PM.
Those who wish to lift more often are encouraged to reach out to Powerlifting Coaches Jake Wolter or Amber Pheifer to inquire about joining the Powerlifting Team for their weekly workouts. These lifts will be age specific and focused on core training, technique, and proper form and etiquette in the weight room and gym. Please send a request for more powerlifting info to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get you in touch with Jake or Amber.
Other than strong leadership and character, there are few things more important to athletic success than incorporating the gym and weight room into our athlete’s weekly schedule.
As in years past, HFC will hold camps in addition to Build-A-Bear to increase speed and agility. Be on the lookout for more info as coaches finalize the plans.
Due to a varsity weather delay Hortonville Red 6 game will start at 4pm. Please arrive by 3pm to warm up.
